2022 - 2025

Rubicon’s Movie Events are one of the company’s longest‑running and most successful client‑engagement traditions. Held multiple times a year, these events bring together anywhere from 150 to over 500 attendees, including long‑time clients, prospective partners, and community members. Each event is designed to show appreciation, strengthen relationships, and introduce new audiences to Rubicon’s services, from landscaping and maintenance to snow removal and seasonal offerings.

Over the years, these events have aligned with major film releases such as Jurassic World, Ant‑Man, Indiana Jones, Borderlands, Blue Beetle, Captain America, Minecraft, Thunderbolts, and many more. My role has been to create the full visual system for each event, ensuring every touchpoint feels polished, on‑brand, and memorable.

This includes T‑shirt designs, email invitations, registration tools, on‑screen graphics, trivia slides, and branded materials that elevate the experience from the moment guests receive the invite to the moment the movie begins.

KEY ELEMENTS:

Typography

Typography was selected to balance Rubicon’s brand voice with the tone of each movie release. Clean, bold typefaces ensured clarity across email invites, on‑screen slides, and printed materials, while stylized type treatments were used selectively to echo the energy of each film without overshadowing Rubicon’s identity.

Layout

Layouts were built for clarity, scalability, and quick readability. Email invitations prioritized hierarchy—event details first, followed by registration links and supporting visuals. On‑screen slides used wide‑format layouts optimized for theater projection, incorporating space for trivia questions, sponsor messaging, and pre‑show announcements. T‑shirt layouts were designed for strong visual impact at a distance.

Visuals

Each event featured custom artwork inspired by the film’s theme, color palette, and visual style. This included T‑shirt graphics, character‑inspired elements, and branded illustrations. Phone screens for account managers included QR codes for instant registration, making the process seamless for clients. Pre‑show screens incorporated movie‑themed visuals, trivia, and Rubicon messaging to create an engaging, cohesive experience.

Consistency

Despite the variety of movie genres and visual styles, every event maintained a consistent Rubicon presence. Color, typography, and layout systems were adapted but never abandoned, ensuring that each piece—email, T‑shirt, slide, or screen—felt like part of a unified brand experience. This consistency helped reinforce Rubicon’s identity while still celebrating the excitement of each film.

Content

Content focused on clarity, excitement, and client value. Email invitations highlighted event details and registration steps. Pre‑show slides included trivia, fun facts, and service reminders. T‑shirt designs captured the spirit of the movie while subtly incorporating Rubicon branding. QR‑code phone screens made registration fast and accessible, supporting both client convenience and internal efficiency.
